3 black teens setup 62 y/o Yellow Cab driver Melvin Wrightwith by calling & requesting a ride.  The sole reason they called was to rob a cab driver.
Mr. Wright was shot in the chest upon arrival and died. Tionne Williams, 15, Deron Brown Jr.18, and 17-year-old Tavione Williams were charged with armed robbery and murder. 

18-year-old in ​Salisbury, Maryland is wanted for January 19 attempted murder after shooting a 34 year old cab driver. Rubbery and gun charges apply.

Major Earl Edwards Jr., 25 and Conrad Rashad Patterson, 27 were charged in the murder of 55 year old driver Jose Nicolas Dominguez of Amigo Taxi.

As a taxi cab driver I would be lying if I said I've never texted any of our customers back while driving. On the other hand they're text messages we created especially for customers. "Call you back shortly, I have a customer in the cab at the moment" that we send with one click.

Even so, it's still dangerous to take your eyes off the road for a split-second while driving. If we are careless it has the potential to harm those that rely on us to be safe.
